SGCC 2022: What to expect

We are about 1 week away from Singapore Comic Con 2022 (SGCC 2022) happening on the 10 & 11 of December 2022 at Sands Expo & Convention Centre, here is what is to be expected for the event:

Singapore Comic Con (SGCC) is Southeast Asia’s ultimate celebration of the best

of Western and Asian pop culture. From toys, collectibles, comics and esports to

cosplay, there is something for everyone to experience!

This year, Singapore Comic Con has expanded to four exhibition halls (200,000 sq

ft), across two levels (Level 1 and B2) at Sands Expo and Convention Centre.

SGCC 2022 features more than 350 exhibitors and 420 brands such as Mighty

Jaxx, Mediacorp, Bandai, OSIM, Moducase, Beast Kingdom, Infinity Studios,

Collectors Ark, Lego by Brickshop, 52 Toys, Queen Studios, Genshin Impact by

HoYoverse

SGCC’s Work In Progress (W.I.P) Programme is expanding this year, continuing its goal of

nurturing the next generation of storytellers and creators in Singapore, as well as to set their

path towards realising their dream of becoming a professional creative.

Hosted by the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), The W.I.P. Programme 2022

encompasses:

● A community Discord co-hosted with Comix.sg

● Johnny Lau’s new project, 十八 (18)

● A comic submissions competition in partnership with Asiapac Books, Difference

Engine, Epigram Books and G.H.Y. Culture and Media

The W.I.P. Lab will also feature talks by industry professionals.

Aux Media will also be showcasing their XR (Extended Reality) Stage at SGCC. Johnny Lau’s

十八 (18) was filmed using this technology.
